The down tube style battery packs offer the most portable installation for e-bike batteries. They are designed to accommodate a wide range of electric bike batteries available in the market. With just a few simple screw holes, these battery packs can be securely mounted to the e-bike tube.

As long as you have enough space, attaching the electric bike battery to any electric bike tube is a simple process that involves using screws.

The most common way to install a new or replacement electric bike battery is by using the down tube mount. The process involves several steps. First, screw the battery pack’s base plate into two out of the three available slots. Once securely screwed in, align the battery with the slides located on either side of the base plate. Finally, lock the battery in place by sliding it together, ensuring that all connections are properly aligned. It is important to make sure that the installation allows enough room for the battery without causing any issues during the ride.

Battery fixing base

The electric bike battery fixing base serves as a vital connecting bridge between the battery packs and the electric bike. It plays a crucial role in transmitting current from the battery to the motor conversion kit through the discharge port on the fixed base. Additionally, it acts as a significant stabilizing accessory for the battery. The end of the battery base plate can be customized with discharge cables of varying lengths and connections to the motor controller terminals.

Slide-in type

For slide-in type electric bike batteries, the installation and removal process requires minimal space for movement. You’ll need approximately 5cm of space in front of the battery and 2cm above it. Typically, securing the battery to the e-bike tube involves using a minimum of two screws.

Open cap type

To remove the battery from the base, lift it upwards once it is detached from the base. It is important to note that during battery installation and removal, there should be a space above the battery greater than 5cm.

Side opening Type

The disassembly method requires minimal space. The battery does not need to fit inside the electric bike frame size. As long as you can install the battery base on the electric bike, you have the freedom to remove and install the battery from both the left and right sides of the e-bike.

What are the functions of the e bike battery?

Depending on the requirements, you can choose a battery with the following functions

Power indicator light

The electric bike battery is equipped with a level indicator light. By pressing the switch, you can view the current battery level. When the power indicator displays only the red LED, it indicates that the battery needs to be charged.

Battery Power Switch

The power switch is responsible for controlling the operation of the lithium battery. When the switch is closed, the battery enters a low-loss state, and the supply of power to the motor from the lithium-ion batteries ceases. On the other hand, when the switch is turned on, the e-bike batteries are activated and ready to supply power.

Battery 5-12V USB socket

The USB socket on the lithium-ion batteries serves the purpose of charging mobile devices. It offers the convenience of customization, allowing for output voltage ranging from 5V to 12V and a current of 2A. It is important to note that the USB socket is of the female type.

Battery Bluetooth Monitoring

The e-bike batteries can be equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled Battery Management System (BMS). This allows for convenient monitoring of the battery’s condition by connecting to it via Bluetooth on your cell phone. Additionally, the Bluetooth connectivity enables the ability to remotely turn off the e-bike batteries and make adjustments to the battery’s parameters.

Charge discharge Fuse

To ensure battery charging and discharging safety, an additional fuse is installed on the positive side of the battery discharge line. This serves as insurance against potential damage to the Battery Management System (BMS) caused by factors like the motor controller or external short circuits. Furthermore, the charging insurance feature protects the battery from potential damage due to issues such as charger damage or lightning.

Battery waterproof

The ebike lithium battery has a waterproof rating of IP650. To ensure water resistance, the internal battery pack is enveloped in insulating waterproof PVC, effectively preventing rainwater infiltration. However, it is important to note that heavy rain poses a risk of short circuits. To further enhance the battery’s waterproofing, it is recommended to implement additional measures during the production process to protect all seams of the battery pack.

Battery discharge connector

The battery pack’s discharge port is linked to the battery fixing base plate. It offers various discharge connectors and the option for different lengths of discharge cables. When the discharge connector is connected to the motor controller, it activates the entire bike, breathing life into it and enabling its operation.

Ebike batteries can be produced using 18650 and 21700 Lithium/LiFePO4 cells. At present, the maximum capacity available for down tube batteries is 36V 45AH. For 48V and 52V batteries, the maximum capacity is 35AH,60V 25AH,72V 20AH.These batteries are assembled using high-quality 5000mAh 18650/21700 Li-ion cells from trusted manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and others.

Battery voltage customization

Our down tube batteries can be customized with voltages of up to 72V. We also offer battery options with voltages of 60V, 52V, 48V, 36V, 24V, and 12V. It’s important to note that as the voltage increases, the capacity of the battery decreases. Additionally, it is crucial to match the battery voltage with the voltage requirement of the motor controller for optimal performance.

Battery current customization

The current down tube battery style supports installation with a maximum 50A Battery Management System (BMS) and can handle a continuous current of up to 50A. A typical 1KW motor requires a current of around 30A, while a 1.5KW motor requires approximately 40A. It’s important to note that higher current results in stronger power output but also leads to faster power consumption.

DOWN TUBE TYPE

The battery is accompanied by a base mounting plate designed for secure attachment to the ebike tube frame using screws. Its versatile design allows for installation in any part of the ebike tube, providing flexibility for positioning the battery.

Hidden tube type
