Our electric bike battery down tube is available for customization in length. Various styles of ebike batteries feature different shapes of down tubes, including completely hidden, semi-protruding, and battery flush down tube styles.

Experience the most exquisite installation of an ebike battery, where the battery remains impeccably concealed within the ebike tube. This design enhances the ebike’s minimalistic and technologically advanced appeal. Simply secure the battery base with screws inside the ebike tube, allowing for effortless removal and installation of the battery. Presently, hidden batteries are available in three styles: semi-hidden down the tube, completely hidden down the tube, and battery in down tube style.

For the in tube Hidden type of e-bike battery, the fixing process remains the same. The fixing base of the battery is screwed securely into the aluminum tube.

Open cover battery type

The Open Cover Battery stands out as the epitome of both elegance and convenience. This battery style offers the flexibility of installation on the ebike tube, either facing upwards or downwards. It allows for a seamless alignment of the battery width with the ebike tube, resulting in a concealed overall appearance. Moreover, this battery can be effortlessly detached and taken home for charging purposes. It’s worth noting that the downward-facing orientation of the battery variant boasts a higher capacity.

Side opening battery Type

The majority of batteries utilizing the side opening method belong to the semi-hidden down tube battery style. These batteries are installed halfway inside the ebike tube. When it comes to disassembly, they open from the side, eliminating the need for additional top space. Notably, these batteries offer a generous capacity, with the highest known capacities being 36V 30AH, 48V 25AH, and 52V 20AH. Furthermore, they can be easily and individually detached for swift charging at home.

The completely hidden battery style is specifically designed to fit inside the ebike tube, commonly utilized in folding electric bicycles. Installing and removing this hidden battery requires folding the ebike. The ebike tube retains the battery charging port, allowing for convenient charging without the need to remove the battery. However, if you prefer to charge the battery at home separately, you will need to fold the ebike and detach the battery. While the battery capacity is relatively small, it offers exceptional security features.

What are the functions of the Electric bike battery?

Depending on the requirements, you can choose a battery with the following functions

Power indicator light

The electric bike battery is equipped with a level indicator light. By pressing the switch, you can view the current battery level. When the power indicator displays only the red LED, it indicates that the battery needs to be charged.

Power Switch

The power switch is responsible for controlling the operation of the lithium battery. When the switch is closed, the battery enters a low-loss state, and the supply of power to the motor from the lithium-ion batteries ceases. On the other hand, when the switch is turned on, the e-bike batteries are activated and ready to supply power.

5-12V USB socket

The USB socket on the lithium-ion batteries serves the purpose of charging mobile devices. It offers the convenience of customization, allowing for output voltage ranging from 5V to 12V and a current of 2A. It is important to note that the USB socket is of the female type.

Bluetooth Monitoring

The e-bike batteries can be equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled Battery Management System (BMS). This allows for convenient monitoring of the battery’s condition by connecting to it via Bluetooth on your cell phone. Additionally, the Bluetooth connectivity enables the ability to remotely turn off the e-bike batteries and make adjustments to the battery’s parameters.

Battery Fuse

To ensure battery charging and discharging safety, an additional fuse is installed on the positive side of the battery discharge line. This serves as insurance against potential damage to the Battery Management System (BMS) caused by factors like the motor controller or external short circuits. Furthermore, the charging insurance feature protects the battery from potential damage due to issues such as charger damage or lightning.

Battery waterproof

The ebike lithium battery has a waterproof rating of IP650. To ensure water resistance, the internal battery pack is enveloped in insulating waterproof PVC, effectively preventing rainwater infiltration. However, it is important to note that heavy rain poses a risk of short circuits. To further enhance the battery’s waterproofing, it is recommended to implement additional measures during the production process to protect all seams of the battery pack.

Battery discharge connector

The battery pack’s discharge port is linked to the battery fixing base plate. It offers various discharge connectors and the option for different lengths of discharge cables. When the discharge connector is connected to the motor controller, it activates the entire bike, breathing life into it and enabling its operation.

Ebike batteries can be constructed using either 18650 or 21700 Lithium/LiFePO4 cells. Presently, the maximum capacity for Down tube batteries is 36V 31.5AH, 48V, and 52V 24.5AH. These batteries are assembled using high-quality 3500mAh 18650 Li-ion cells from reputable brands such as Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and others.

Battery voltage customization

Customization options for Down tube batteries include voltage settings of up to 72V. Additionally, we offer battery voltage options of 60V, 52V, 48V, 36V, 24V, and 12V. It’s important to note that as the voltage increases, the capacity decreases. It is advisable to ensure that the battery voltage matches the voltage requirement of the motor controller for optimal compatibility.

Battery current customization

The existing Down tube battery style allows for installation with a maximum 40A BMS (Battery Management System), ensuring a continuous current of up to 50A. For reference, a typical 1KW motor operates with a current of 30A, while a 1.5KW motor requires 40A current. It’s important to note that higher current results in increased power output, but it also leads to faster power consumption.

DOWN TUBE TYPE

The battery is accompanied by a base mounting plate designed for secure attachment to the ebike tube frame using screws. Its versatile design allows for installation in any part of the ebike tube, providing flexibility for positioning the battery.

Hidden tube type

The battery fixed ebike tube kit is designed to be discreetly hidden within the tube frame, allowing the battery to blend seamlessly with the ebike’s overall appearance. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the ebike but also provides excellent protection for the battery as it remains securely nestled inside the ebike tube.

Rear rack type

An additional battery frame is securely fixed above the rear wheel of the ebike. The battery is mounted onto this frame and is accompanied by a tail light. To remove the battery, simply slide it out through the base rail of the frame.

Seat tube type

The ebike seat houses the fixed battery underneath, which can be easily removed from its base. This battery is versatile and can be securely fixed in any part of the ebike’s round tube. An alternative method for removing the ebike seat is to slide it out from the rails.
